Addison Karl is a contemporary artist deeply connected to his Chickasaw and Choctaw heritage. He was born in Denver and raised in Phoenix. Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, Addison’s artistic pursuits encompass painting, drawing, public art, and sculpture. Addison’s ongoing commitment to learning traditional Chickasaw and Choctaw art making methods has allowed him to create a visual narrative that speaks to his heritage. His art projects have found their way to Hong Kong, Pakistan, Mexico, Malaysia, Japan, Israel, and Europe.
