Sincerely, Andrew Jackson was inspired by Bryan’s review of President Jackson’s letter to Congress regarding the Indian Removal Act of 1830.Jackson’s handwriting is replicated in the background and the painting depicts a woman left out in the cold, forcibly removed from her homeland, wrapped in a red blanket in the snowfall. A beautiful painting about the Trail of Tears, a tragic and senseless event. The red blanket symbolizes the lives that were lost. After teaching high school for 13 years, Bryan is now a full time artist who has exhibited at shows in Los Angeles, Santa Fe, and other locations. Bryan lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
