Exhale

$1,000.00

Jerry Brown is a Dine (Navajo) painter who lives in New Mexico.  He graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 1995. Brown’s contemporary work is a reflection of his life living and working from his traditional homelands. Brown describes himself as a “man that lives and works in two worlds, my traditional Dine world and the modern world I encounter every day.” Brown’s abstract works reflect this rich and vibrant life.  He also enjoys creating work that explores the natural world with animal (especially hummingbird) studies, landscapes, and botanical pieces.

Brown’s description of Exhale: “I created this piece in 2020. My pieces come from the feelings and emotions I experience in my daily life. This piece specifically comes from my experience living and working on the Navajo Nation during the Covid19 Pandemic.”
