Tillier Wesley was a self-taught artist. He began to paint after receiving a gift of paints from a lady in his church. Wesley described this piece as “…a reflection on a strong heritage. The figure senses change, choosing not to resist but to meet it head on, holding steadfast to the things of old as time passes.” As Time Passes was originally painted in 1987. This print was created by the Kinbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas.
