Tillier Wesley was a self-taught artist. He began to paint after receiving a gift of paints from a lady in his church. Wesley’s work was included in numerous exhibitions, including exhibitions held at the Aspen/Snowmass Celebration for the American Indian, the American Indian Arts Festival in Houston, Texas, and the Red Earth Festival in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wesley described this piece as “…a reflection on a stong heritage. The figure senses change, choosing not to resist but meet it head on, holding steadast to the things of old as time passes.” As Time Passes was originally painted in 1987. This print was created by the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas.
