This print is a commemoration to the 2017 exhibit “The High Art of Riding Low Ranflas, Corazon y Inspiracion” at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. It is also a tribute to the Apache tribes of the Southwest. Douglas lives on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation in Arizona. Douglas was one of the first artists to create artistic skateboard decks. He founded Apache Skateboards, which organizes skateboard contests and curates art shows across the country, especially on Indian reservations in the American Southwest. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institute Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Warner Brothers Studio, among others.
