Bobby Hill aka White Buffalo (1933-1984)

Kiowa artist Bobby Hill (1933-1984) used the name White Buffalo in his career as a professional artist. After graduating from Anadarko, Oklahoma HIgh School, Hill joined the U.S. Air Force and served in Korea. He had a varied career as a technical illustrator, commercial artist, set designer, and painter. Hill’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, the United States Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C., and the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona.
