Season of Yellow Leaves (WYLD Gallery) Jason Parrish “Native American Art”

$1,200.00

Jason Parrish painted Season of Yellow Leaves as an homage to his Navajo clan. Jason is Dziltaadnii, which translates to “Near the Mountain.” This is Jason’s mother’s clan. For the Navajo, the first clan comes from the mother’s line of succession and the second clan comes from the father’s line of succession. Jason’s second clan is Toodichiini, which translates to “Bitter Water People.” This Navajo lady’s portrait is located in her home area, in the heart of a mountain. Season of Yellow Leaves is painted on a rough textured panel, which allowed Jason to be much looser in his brushstrokes and use of ground.
