Timothy Nevaquaya is an award winning Comanche artist and flutist from Apache, Oklahoma. He was traditionally trained and apprenticed under his father, the late master artist and flutist Doc Tate Nevaquaya. Nevaquaya learned about his Comanche culture from his father and tribal elders. He works in both the traditional and contemporary style of Indian art. Nevaquaya has exhibited his artwork throughtout the American Southwest and won numerous awards.
