Ryan Singer grew up on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. He was interested in art at an early age, and studied not only the work of Navajo artists, but also Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dali. Singer, who has a BFA from Arizona State University, is known for his pop art style of painting. His work is heavily influenced by both popular culture and elements of Navajo culture. Singer’s work is contained in the permanent collections of the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, Arizona, and The Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
