Navajo artist Ronald Chee is primarily a self-taught artist. He drew pictures of horses as a young boy and sold them to tourists passing through Indian County. Chee’s work takes a contermporary approach to traditional Native subject matter. He uses vibrant color and bold imagery in creating art influenced by historical and political events.
