Razelle Benally is a film director, writer, painter, and printmaker. She holds a BFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Benally’s thesis film Raven picked up awards for Best Short Narrative, Directing, and Sound. In 2018, she directed a PSA promoting the Indigenous Vote featuring Mark Ruffalo, Tonia Jo Hall, and Shailene Woodley. Benally is dedicated to creating stories with strong Indigenous female protagonists.
