Levon Loncassion is an award-winning, internationally recognized artist who lives and works in Zuni, New Mexico. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of New Mexico in 2005. For six months of the year, Levon serves as a wildland firefighter, a role that supports both his family and his dedication to his artistic practice. His work draws deeply from lived experience—his personal history, his Zuni Pueblo culture and beliefs, written text, media, and the visceral realities of fighting forest fires.
