Lauren J. Reed is a Choctaw artist, musician,and actress. She usually paints and draws in various mixed medias, but the common thread in her work is painting with acrylic. Her subjects include Native and western images, as well as musical portraits. Reed considers is to be “a great honor to create work that illuminates the beauty of Native culture.” She has shown her work in various exhibitions in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
