Joan HIll (1930-2020)

Joan Hill (Che-se-quah) (b. 1930) is a Muskogee/Cherokee painter who studied under prolific contemporary Native artist, Dick West, at Bacone College. Hill is considered one of the most influential Native American women artists, winning nearly 300 awards throughout the world. Hill is most known for her ability to master both representational and abstract art.
