Jerry Ingram

Jerry Ingram was raised in southeast Oklahoma by his Choctaw mother and Cherokee father. Ingram’s great-grandparents had walked from North Carolina to Indian Territory during the Trail of Tears. Ingram is an alumnus of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His work has won numerous awards and is in the permanent collections of many institutions, including the Cherokee National Museum in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ingram’s painting style is influenced by the work of Blackbear Bosin and Alan Houser.
