Farrell Cockrum was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation in Northern Montana. He strives with his art to inform others of the traditions and culture of the Blackfeet. Cockrum’s work is bright and bold, with a mix of abstract expressionism and streaming colors. He melds Indigenous images and culture with pop art sensibiities. Cockrum is a graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and lives in New Mexico.
