Dylan Cavin (Choctaw) has been an artist his entire life. He has a background in graphic design and enjoys creating art that allows for a deeper connection with audiences. He has stated on his work: “[my] art is as simple and complex as making a connection to the viewer through my work. When you can achieve this, it is a special relationship that can go beyond what is on canvas or paper.”

Dylan Cavin's Ghosts of the Plains is based upon a photograph of Lakota Chief Iron Shell (1816-1896). Dylan lives in Oklahoma. He is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation.
