Dylan Cavin (Choctaw) has been an artist his entire life. He has a background in graphic design and enjoys creating art that allows for a deeper connection with audiences. He has stated on his work: “[my] art is as simple and complex as making a connection to the viewer through my work. When you can achieve this, it is a special relationship that can go beyond what is on canvas or paper.”

Dylan's work has been shown in numerous museums, including both the New York and Washington D.C. locations of the Smithsonian's National Museum on the American Indian. Dylan also had paintings in the Return from Exile, an exhibit that traveled across the United States....

Dylan Cavin's Ghosts of the Plains is based upon a photograph of Lakota Chief Iron Shell (1816-1896). Dylan lives in Oklahoma. He is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation.
