Damian Charette is an enrolled Crow tribal member. He was raised on the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Reservations in eastern Montana and studied art at the University of Montana, Missoula. His work has been featured in one-man shows and exhibits throughout the United States, and internationally. “My artwork often references themes common to neighboring Plains Indian Tribes. I incorporate aspects of Native American imagery, stories, and contemporary life into my work in an effort to dispel stereotypes of American Indian people.”
