Ben Pease is an Apsáalooke/Tsétsêhéstâhese (Crow/Northern Cheyenne) artist based in Montana. He work also references historic photographs and reexamines them through a culturally-relevant lens. He studied at Minot State University under Walter Piehl, a protege of world-renowned artist Fritz Scholder. Most recently, his work was featured in the large-scale exhibition at the Chicago Field Museum & The University of Chicago’s Neubauer Collegium, titled Apsáalooke Women & Warriors.
