Ben Nelson Ahn-Hia-Ohm,which means “He knows” in Kiowa, is a self-taught artist who began painting at the age of five. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nelson was an acclaimed painter at an early age. At the age of 13, Nelson met pirivately with President Bill Clinton, who is a collector of his work. Nelson’s work has won many awards. Nelson’s work focuses on Native American imagery and themes. Many of his pieces depict scenes of Native American life on the plains.
