NiCole Hatfield took an 1885 black and white photograph and transformed it into a riot of colors with depth and personality. This piece is based upon an 1885 photograph of Cree Chief Poundmaker, who earned his name for his special ability to attract buffalo into buffalo pounds or corrals. NiCole lives in Oklahoma. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Comanche National Museum in Lawton, Oklahoma.
